John Fernandes Macedo was born in Venezuela and lives in Düsseldorf. He began his photography studies at the Nucleus of Photographic Art during his architecture studies in Lisbon, which shaped a perspective that between the natural and the constructed, that tension of contrasts, with light as raw material. His passion for nature led him to explore remote places in Venezuelan Guayana, a territory for which he feels a deep admiration, as well as urban and industrial places full of decay, seeking to find treasures in the mundane.
